I can understand why she is dedicated to God. Do you think her insistence on mentioning God a lot turns people off to her main message?

I read many quotes where people argue for abortion based on the separation of church and state. I think people viewing abortion as a religious issue will always have pro-lifers on the losing end. I try to only argue the social issues and never mention religion (because if it is truly evil it will be evil for many reasons besides the sanctity of life).

What do you think?

Hello Jeanne,

I wrote and deleted at least a page response but for some reason I’m having a hard time giving a response. I really only have a question and two statements as a response.

Did Martin Luther King make the argument against racism separate from Christ?

I think those who play the separation of church and state card are not going to be convinced no matter what you say. It is used to discount whatever argument you make.

If what you are saying doesn’t have the potential to turn people off then you are not challenging them and they will not feel the need to change.
