The tradeoff approach yields a radical theory of gender equality. Men and women may be different, but each advantage may be linked to a disadvantage.
Hence whenever you hear a report that one gender is better at something, stop and consider why this is likely true — and what the opposite trait might be good for. LINK
This article written by Roy F. Baumeister is from a secular evolutionary perspective but I think it has a lot of truth to it. It lays the foundation for the natural basis of why the Catholic Church has institutionalized an all male priesthood. There is too much good stuff to quote so I will just let you read it and draw the connections yourself. I highly remcommend reading the article.
This is the authors conclusion of a male lead society...
Again, I’m not saying it’s right, or fair, or proper. But it has worked. The cultures that have succeeded have used this formula, and that is one reason that they have succeeded instead of their rivals.

I read the whole article. You can certainly tell that it was written from a male perspective. Poor men. I feel sorry for them.
The one quote that drove me crazy was when he discussed how men liked math more than women. He went on to say that if they wanted to men could "learn to change diapers and vacuum under the sofa perfectly well too."
What a bunch of crap.

I disagree with his whole theory that men are more motivated compared to women. I am a woman who has worked the 50+ hours a week and I am a woman who has stayed home and "vacuumed under the bed". Do you know how much more motivation it takes to get up at 6 am and get the kids fed and dress after being up 4X already that night with them? It is much easier to get up after 8 hours of sleep and go to work where you are actually appreciated.
I think men may have more music and creativity compared to women based on they have more time to have these hobbies. Even in households where the women work statistics show that women still do the majority of running the household. Women have less hours of the day to spend to hobbies. Men have more time because they have women tending to their basic needs. This also takes more motivation from women.
Hello sis, :)
The article is not saying motivation in general. Women on average are just as smart and motivated as men. It is saying motivation towards specific things. Women are more motivated to build close relationships. That is why soap opera viewers are dominated by women. Men are more motivated to take risks for power. You will be able to find examples of people that don’t fit this but as a whole I think this is how it plays out. We can talk more about this later when you come to visit :)
